Silk twill is a light or medium weight material manufactured in a uniform twill or wales weave. Silk twill may vary in appearance and feel, from very soft and drapey to very crisp. Silk twill has the excellent drape and durability. Printing on silk twill gives a bright and clean picture. The texture of twill makes colours play with light and gives an elegant silvery glow to the ties and scarves. This is the main reason why Hermès chooses silk twill as the fabric for silk scarves.
